Fashion Consulting - Unique Jewelry Flair & More

When it came to discussing Fashion Consulting from the perspective of Pauline Nelson, it was obvious that this would be more than trends in boutique jewelry design. In fact, we think what is important here is the impact that fashion has on the jewelry industry. And vice versa - one can't forget that, like any art form, unique jewelry styles can influence other art forms like fashion, photography...even theatre!

So, while examining that further, educating our visitors about the latest looks that will influence your unique jewelry purchases are important.

Everything we’ve read and seen through the Spring of 06 leading up to the fall and winter seasons surrounds one theme - the female heroin. The age of the fashionista is no matter...the results, varied and diverse from a couture 1950’s Lois Lane to a 1980’s punk rocker, bode well for boutique jewelry creations for the upcoming year.

This past March at Los Angeles Fashion Week clean sophistication with modern urbane shapes was the talk of the day. Look for leggings & tights, skinny pants, voluminous shapes, patent leather, the trench coat, Asian intrigue, shades of gray and rock couture in fashion design.

Saturated hues as we described in jewelry trends is oddly the same for fashion - tongue and cheek - its not odd but expected for the two to follow similar trends. Upcoming changes in color scheme is summed up this way…watching for vibrant purples, sapphire blues, candy-apple reds (my favorite) and shocking splashes of orange (good for you rebels). However, from other sources and designer perspective and as mentioned in the Fashion Trends page, it's still black is the new black.

With that theme, it is expected that by the end of fall you will begin to see less of the warm palette of browns and earth tones moving towards cool jewel tones paired with neutral colors. Since that is more than a season away, buy what you need now and invest in these coolers hues for the up coming fall and holiday seasons.

Lastly, fashion tends to have a political side, balking at the American isolationism with ethnic influences and a bohemian flair. The rocker couture carries all of the season's trends with black and grays, couture with corsets, skinny jeans and leather and tartan prints with eastern block or Russian flairs. It’s a mixed bag for sure but history tells us that fashion's politics reflected truly the last time the United States was embroiled in controversy and war - the Vietnam war made a huge impact on what to wear. In stark contrast to the clean sophistication, we will also include wild prints, flowing silhouettes and guess what - chunky gems in terms of fine unique jewelry!

As I look at all of the information and trends discussed I think you can boil it down to a few things - ladylike, bohemian, anything black or your own fashion panache and you'll be in the depths of fashion. Oh, and don't forget to add some unique jewelry flourishes to whatever fashion statement you are currently wearing!
